Gender identity is included as a “protected class” under the City of Seattle’s civil rights laws. This intensive training is for professionals, educators, social workers, activists, and community members at all levels of familiarity with gender issues. The training will help participants examine and undo practices in their lives, workplaces, and community organizations that harm and marginalize gender minorities. Using interactive theater and dialogue, we will investigate the complexities of gender identities and expression, the impacts of prejudice and discrimination, and learn how to create positive change. p>
